In my daily studies, I have had a burden to share with any who would listen on another of Satan's last great deceptions.
Satan knows his time is short and Christ will come soon, so he would desire to deceive us all into believing lies so that he can accomplish his last and final deception, that of impersonating Christ and His second coming.
We can know the signs of Christ's true second coming and not be deceived, but what is this other deception of Satan's?
Satan would have us believe falsehoods in regard to the state of the dead. What happens to people when they die? Do they go to heaven and hell immediately? Do they roam the earth as spirits?
As Christians, I'm sure you feel you would never be involved with Spiritualism. But look at how many movies there are about Wizards, Witches, and Ghosts. Are we being deceived? Do we look on these wizards and witches as kind people doing good things? Are these Ghosts innocent loved ones?
In Leviticus 20:27, God tells what will happen to those involved in these types of craft:
"A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones."
Satan now has television shows where people are supposedly talking to their dead loved ones. Is this true? How can we know? The Bible warns us and tells us how God feels about spiritualists. In 1 Samuel 28:3-25, we see that God has forbidden His people from talking to witches and spiritualists. Read the story of the witch of Endor and how Satan tried to impersonate God's own prophet.
Revelation 16:14 warns us that "spirits of devils" will be "working miracles." One way that Satan can deceive us is to make the Word of God of none effect... to tell us that the Bible is not inspired and is of no consequence. So what better way to denounce the scriptures than by supposedly talking to our dead loved ones and letting them tell us from the "other side" that the Bible is done away with... not true... not important.
Can this happen? Will it? In Matthew 24 we are warned:
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
How can we know if these dead loved ones are really our loved ones or simply the fallen angels that fell with Satan, Satan's demons?
For a Bible study on what happens to our loved ones when they die, please prayerfully see the study below.
God bless you,
Nannette
