I hope you add this letter to your success stories. If not, it doesn't matter
because to me I cannot thank you enough for your service. ...I am a very
social person and I believe in the sanctity of marriage if it is between two
people that have the same goals. ...My Pastor found your service and suggested I join. I
met Robert on your SS service and we both believe it was God's will how we met
and how we are so much alike. I had asked God to let me meet someone He
picked out -- not me -- because obviously I had not done very well myself.
Anyway, we met last October and are getting married August 6 2000!!! So I wrote
your address down so we can send you a wedding picture. Thank you and God bless your efforts to bring people of like
faiths together so they can love each other and serve the Lord. What a great

I just wanted you both to know this has been a great experience and after
hearing from many men, I've found the one I want to spend my life with. When
God says He will give us more than we even ask for, He's serious. This is a
match we're both positive is blessed by God. We were both skeptical about taking
the internet avenue and are so utterly amazed by the way this has turned out.

through it. I met my girlfriend here a year ago and we're now planning to be
married.
You won't find our names here anymore as we've deleted them so that we
would not be a stumbling block to others who may be genuinely looking.

Nannette & Larry I wanted to thank you so much for everything you have done
in putting this Christian single line together, it has been a blessing, I
never thought that God would lead me to meet my husband on Shining Star but
I have. Wow! God is amazing, John Reynolds and I are getting married July,
25 1999 so it is coming upon us very soon in the next 2 weeks, I can't
wait. I'll tell you the blessings we have had in preparing this wedding has
been unbelievable, when you really put your full trust in God, he really makes
things happen beautifully. For ex. they sent me my wrong invitations, but
that was a blessing the ones I wanted were cheaper and not as nice, whereas
the ones we got are nicer and more expensive but we got them at half
the price of the original we were going to have.
And just so many more I praise God for everything he has done.
So I am going to now delete my file, and all the best to the single people
out there, there is a true, loving mate out there for them, from God, but we
just have to be patient in his time. I know I went ahead of God a lot of
times and all I found was the wrong one, and finally I put it in God's hands,
and he lead me to the right one. I know it gets frustrating waiting for
that right one, but when you do, you really know that it's right. I pray for
all the single people out there that they will wait for the right one and
let God be their captain to their ship!
Well God Bless, and I thank you again for all the wonderful work that you
are doing for the singles. It sure wasn't fun being single, but I would
have rather been single, than being with the wrong one, and not having
God's blessings. But it is so true God does have an Adam for and Eve, and an
Eve for an Adam.

yours and am excited about finding this one.

words to click to include "Who's On," which is one of my favorite
things to check. I also really, really like being able to select several
denominations but not all (can skip the ones that are mostly social groups
rather than truly spiritual!), along with a lot of the other changes you've
made. And I like the stories part - you might be able to tell that by the
fact that I added a couple after I found out it was there. Keep up the

It has been a long time since I have been on the website with you folks.
I want to share in a few words what SSS help do for me. Actually it is
the Lord's doing but what you folks provide thru SSS helped encourage me
to persue friendships that I wouldn't have other wise. Even tho I did not
meet the man I am engaged to thru SSS, I learned alot with all the shareing
and careing that goes on. (I am getting married April 4) I am very glad
that there is a website for christian singles to turn to and I praise God
that there are those who are willing to spend time in a ministry for
others. Truely you have a ministry that the Lord has blessed. I may not keep
in touch but I haven't forgotten you folks and my prayer list encludes my
SSS family.

I have met several friends through your service and
really appreciate the support form the list server. I would want to keep

available to anyone that is experiencing loneliness and divorce or even
death of a loved one.
Thanks for your hard work. It has helped my heavenly journey. There are
often times that I do not have time to meet with other Christians
especially
Adventist during the week and the list serve and chat room are always
available. I also have a hard time talking about spiritual things but have
found people open and caring and it is easy to discuss Christ and His gift
to us.

I've been on Shining Star for about 2 months now. I appreciate your
including a line about premarital sex. It is the first answer I look at,
and if it is "wrong" I am long gone. I wonder if people who refuse to fill
out the profile know what they are doing. The purpose is to filter out the
unsuitables, and I would never consider a relationship with someone who
endorsed premarital sex, even a cyber-relationship.
I know there are men out there too, who have
their own standards, and they have their complete rights to them.

Finding myself focused on Jesus Christ and one individual I met from SSS it
is time for me to cancel my name with SSS. We feel His providence caused
she and I to click onto each other after having scanned profiles and
particularly the personal comments. Thank you for making this website
possible. We haven't missed a day of email or NetMeeting or telephone since
July 13. It has been a tremendous joy to be led to a special lady who is on
the same wavelength regarding the standards and principles I hold as

I met my wife-to-be on your
website. We met on 4/13/98 which was the last time I have been to your
site. Thank you so much for having such a blessed website that can bring
together two young Christian people like me and my fiancee. She was the

the first person for her. She had just finished registering when I saw
that she was on the website at the same time that I was. And after we
looked and found out that our information was exactly the same we decided to

I just want you to know that I will no longer be needing a membership
with Shiningstar. The man God made for me found my ad and after reading
it 5-6 times contacted me. He is more than I ever thought I could have
and he's a Seventh-Day-Adventist too. I am amazed and overwhelmed at how

There are many introduction gizmos out there in cyber space. I
currently have well over a dozen passwords bookmarked. As a born-again
Christian who loves the LORD dearly and awaits His coming with joyous

incredible man on Shining Star and after many

I have to tell you, I was not really interested in joining your website
after checking it out in February. I never trusted such methods of finding

I married the most wonderful man I have ever known. I had been single for 5 years and
decided that God wanted me to spend the rest of my life alone. Then I noticed an ad, so I called my girlfriend

We are still happily together 5 months since we met through
SSS. We see this as a long term relationship between

and fabulous blessing this is. I've felt very
isolated out here as an Adventist Single mom. My
home church is very small. Now I have many friends

I just wanted to let you know that I am enjoying meeting others,
other SDA's that I have things in common with.
I felt very impressed tonight to donate, maybe that's an answer to prayer.
If not for my own sake, but for others sake, to keep the server running
and to make it so that you don't have to pay for it out of your own pocket.

I'm glad you went international with your web site.....you have expanded
heaps since Computer Cupid. I know how expensive it is to run servers &
modems etc. You've done a good job with the software.

I've been looking at other Christian personals and this is by far the best service.
This service asks the right questions and sorts members how we want them to be sorted.
I can tell just by reading the profiles and the comments who does or does not qualify
for further investigation without any threat of safety or privacy.
I'm staying here. I pray many more do too.
At least that one man that I'm looking for.

I know that the better services are not free. It costs $'s to run this system,

Thank you for this site. It is very encouraging to see all of the Adventist listings.
I have checked out some of the other Christian sites, I am sure the women in them are
sincere in their beliefs, but hardly any SDA listings.
